Mark Culliton with his Co-Founder and Co-CEO Michelle Caldeira is the vision behind Uncornered. Together they have formed a unique partnership to create and lead an organization that believes in and works with those closest to violence in urban communities. They have taken Uncornered from a small GED program with a budget of less than $100,000 in 2013 to a multi-million-dollar movement that supports hundreds of gang-involved individuals in four cities and impacts thousands of others today. He and Michelle started visiting Kansas City at the beginning of 2022 and in less than two years launched KC Uncornered, a $4M organization that directly invests in more than 120 gang involved individuals. His vision and her strategic direction are complements as they work together to unlock barriers and elevate conventional expectations about who can and will end violence and uplift cities across America. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Mark also holds an MBA from Yale University. Prior to Uncornered, he helped grow start-ups in both the private and nonprofit sector. When not in Kansas City, Mark calls the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston – where Uncornered was founded – as home with his wife and their two college aged sons. In addition to the many hours spent with Michelle supporting the work of Uncornered, he spends his time rock climbing or running long distances in crocs.
